Scheduling/Hours

West Deptford office: Mondays and Tuesdays. Hours vary. *Currently only seeing clients via telehealth*

Telehealth sessions are available. In order to receive this type of therapy you must physically be in NJ at the time of the session. This is not always covered with insurances.

Please go to the contact page to inquire about appointments. This is a solo practice so all matters are handled directly with Kelly.


Insurances

Most Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Independence Blue Cross plans are accepted. Please call and verify with your insurance that Kelly Redkoles, LCSW is an in network provider and if you have any out of network benefits. If you are looking to do telehealth you must confirm with your insurance that is covered in your plan.

Self Pay/Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. As of January 1, 2022, under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure you health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than you Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute this bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Specialties

Children 5-12yo, adults and families. Anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, adjustment disorders, and grief, among other mental health issues.


Modalities of Therapy

Clients maybe seen in the office or via a HIPAA compliant teletherapy website. Kelly’s primary therapeutic modalities and techniques include psychotherapy, structured play, strengths, CBT, EMDR and EFT. Here is a brief description of each.

Psychotherapy: Also referred to as talk therapy, is a way to help people with a broad variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties.

Structured Play: The use of play to help guide the therapeutic process with children.

Strengths: Helping client’s feel empowered and notice their strengths to help overcome negative thoughts or behaviors.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: A technique used to change negative patterns of thinking in order to improve behavior, emotions and mood.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing: Also known as EMDR, is used to reprocess traumatic events so that the emotional charge attached to the trauma lessens.

Emotional Freedom Technique/Tapping: A technique that is based on various theories of alternative medicine including acupuncture, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy. Uses one’s own natural meridians to help release blockages and allow for positive change.

SPACE: Space stands for Supportive Parenting of Anxious Childhood Emotions. SPACE is a structured program for parents/guardians of anxious children. The main goal is to support the parents as they decrease their parental accommodations that they have in place for the child in order to allow their child to work through their own anxieties.
